The Alpha Kappa Psi Beta Chapter was founded at the University of Denver on March 19, 1910 and is the second chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi.

In June of 2007, the Beta Chapter was selected by the Daniels College of Business to be the first-ever recipient of the Pioneer Business Cup.  The award recognized AKPsi as the Daniels undergraduate organization with the highest academic excellence and community involvement, and for creating a better learning environment for Daniels undergraduate business students.
